Ashley Cleveland

Ashley Cleveland is a spiritual director, career musician, speaker, author, storyteller and soul friend. Ashley has been a director since 2019; She completed a two year apprenticeship in Franciscan direction with Anam Cara Ministries in 2021 and then a three year training with Dovehouse in Ignatian Direction in 2026 after a life changing experience going through the exercises of St. Ignatius.

Ashley spent 40 years as a singer/songwriter and recording artist, winning three Grammy’s and two Dove awards. She is the author of two memoirs: Little Black Sheep and Learning Burney, A Map Of My Mother And Me. Ashley belongs to the recovery community in Nashville and is active in two 12 step programs.

She has been married to her husband, Kenny Greenberg for 35 years and has three adult children, Rebecca, Henry and Lily. She is a Tennessee native from Knoxville and has lived in Middle Tennessee since 1985.

Ashley meets with individuals and groups in spiritual direction and is currently serving as a pastoral associate and spiritual director at Church of the Redeemer in Nashville.
