Description of Group: Many people are looking for a closer relationship with the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit and the ability to discern God’s will in everyday life.

In this group we will use several different practices that can be applied to our everyday lives in order to pay closer attention to how God interacts with us daily.  Some of these will be: Praying with Scripture, Entering the Scene with Scripture, Conversational Prayer, Waiting and Listening in Silence,  Discernment of Spirits (which internal urgings are from God and which are not). We will also practice listening to God’s Spirit on behalf of one another. 

We will be using our current life-situations to see how God is already interacting with us. You will be encouraged  to keep a journal of the ways you have seen God’s presence and/or felt His Spirit guide you and the effects this is having on your heart, body and spirit.

Find delight and wonder in your relationship with God by exploring different ways to spend time with Him.  What delights Him will certainly delight us too. This sampler group will help deepen your prayer life by engaging your senses in a gentle and intimate setting. Ways of incorporating art will be encouraged but not required each month.

September: Art and Prayer- No experience required! Materials will be provided for you to choose from different types of art to explore.

October: Praying with Poetry and Scripture – Poetry can expand our understanding of what is put forth in Scripture helping us to express our thoughts to the Lord.

November: Lectio Divina – This prayer practice has been around since the days of the early church.We will pray using this effective approach.

December: Gospel Contemplation – The Gospel stories were multi-dimensional including all five senses with real people.We will delve into them from this angle during our prayer time.

January: Visio Divina – Using fine art and Scripture we will enhance our prayer time with a visual representation.

February: Rule of Life – We will discuss ways to lay foundations for regular and effective prayer times and practice a new component.

March: Praying with God’s Creation and Scripture – God communicates regularly through His creation if we only pay attention.Everything we have is a gift from Him.

April: Strengthening Spiritual Practices – We will put several practices together and discuss how they are enhancing our relationship with Jesus.

Limited to 5 people

This group is limited to five participants to give each person the space and quiet needed, and to allow for a personal and lively experience for each one.

• Gain clarity on your fundamental identity and how it informs your purpose.

• Connect with a supportive community of fellow seekers on a similar journey.

This group draws upon the rich tradition of Ignatian spirituality to provide a framework for personal discovery and a deeper understanding of your God-given identity and purpose.

Prerequisites: This group is designed for individuals who have previously engaged with the foundational principles of Ignatian spirituality through completion of the full Ignatian Spiritual Exercises or the 19th Annotation of the Exercises. This prior experience will provide a shared language and foundational understanding for the group's explorations.

First We Were Loved Group

This group will focus on the deep love God has for each of us. It is for people who would like to grow in awareness of the Holy Spirit in everyday life. We will use this book to pray throughout the month and then come together and share from your prayer times. Each member is committed to praying with and journaling about their daily prayer times.

Are you sensing:

• A nudge to venture out and go deeper with others who also feel invited to something more? 

• Are you feeling drawn to discover a new rhythm with Jesus?

Have you considered all the little ways he may be reaching out to you outside of structured prayer times? We will discuss asking for graces, noticing the invitations, and discovering what he is unfolding to you.

Come make space to ask, seek, and listen. In this spiritual direction group, participants will listen for the Holy Spirit through scripture, prayer and silent time and have the opportunity to share with one another. 

We will explore and discover unique nudges and shimmers he uses to grab our attention and invite us closer. Using various Ignatian prayer practices, listening in silence and times of sharing we will explore with each other what is emerging in your relationship with God. There is something holy and vulnerable when connecting with others in this particular way together.
