The group will read through a Gospel scene three times; between each reading, Susan will lead you into a Gospel scene through your senses and imagination. The goal is to encounter Jesus and to be with Him. Entering into the scene offers you an opportunity to ask Jesus questions, to listen to what He wants to say to you, and to simply enjoy being in His Presence.

Whatever is happening in your real life is welcomed as part of the time with Jesus.  

After the guided readings, you will spend 30 minutes alone in silence in a private room where you will continue to pray with the scene and allow it to unfold. There will be 10 minutes for journaling about the time and then we will return to the group for a time of sharing.

Individuals find strength and encouragement in community. In a spiritual direction group, participants will listen for the Holy Spirit through scripture, prayer and silent time. There will be opportunities to share with one another during group time and to listen for God together. We will explore Ignatian practices including the Examen, lectio divina and looking for God in all things. Participants agree to attend the monthly scheduled meetings and to pray for other group participants during the month.

Payment is made by selecting the Subscribe button which sets up auto-pay for the 6 group meetings on the same day of the month.

In this group we will use several different practices that can be applied to our everyday lives in order to pay closer attention to how God interacts with us on a daily basis,  Some will be: Praying with Scripture, Entering the Scene with Scripture,  Discernment of Spirits (which internal urgings are from God and which are not).

We will be using our current life situations to see how God is already interacting with us. We also may Listen in Prayer on behalf of one Another. You will be encouraged (your choice) to keep a journal of the ways you have seen God’s presence and/or felt His Spirit guide you in your ordinary, everyday life and the effects these are having on your heart, body and spirit.
