In this Quiet Day, we will experience Nature as our director, gently tutoring us to hear the inner Voice of God. We will facilitate that using the contemplation of some aspect of Creation, Scripture, Poetry and Journaling.
The day will be spent on a beautiful farm outside of Lieper's Fork, TN that is surrounded by woodlands, streams, waterfalls, a quiet pond, and trails (from easy to moderately difficult) and many places to sit, rest, listen, and journal.
There is a lovely lodge where we will begin our day with a Continental breakfast as we talk together about the day before entering silence. Lunch will also be served in the lodge. Snacks and beverages will be available throughout the day.
Adjacent to the lodge is a barn in which Art tables and supplies will be set up for you to use, if you desire, throughout the day.
We will spend the entire day in Silence, even through lunch. The silence will end with a time of reflection about our experiences during our day.
The group will be limited to 15 participants. In case of rain, we will be creative!
Closer to the date of the Quiet Day, Barbi will sent out an email with specific directions to the farm and instructions about what to bring and what to wear.

There are indoor spaces for praying and resting as well as a neighborhood for walking and spaces outdoors for sitting. While this is not an art retreat, for those interested, art supplies and individual space to create will be available along with your prayer time. Coffee and tea as well as a light breakfast and lunch will be offered.
This is a great opportunity to leave behind the busyness and noise of life and connect with Jesus in a restful space.
You may arrive at 8:30 for a light breakfast and to settle in, and then we will begin at 9:00 with an introduction to the day. At 2:30 we will gather for a time of sharing and conclude at 3:00.

This Quiet Day is limited to 4 participants but needs at least two to proceed, so if you have a friend encourage them to register and join you!

Quiet Days offer a restorative time away with Jesus when longer retreats are not possible. It is an opportunity to be quiet with the scriptures and your journal, to rest and to seek God from the busyness of life. This Quiet Day places you in the little Historic District of Old Hickory. Let God's presence and peace invite you away. his Quiet Day will consist of two prayer times, a light breakfast, and lunch. There are places for rest and to walk in this charming neighborhood close to the nearby lake.
You may arrive at 8:30 for a light breakfast and to settle in, and then we will begin at 9:00 with an introduction to the day, and conclude at 3:00.
